Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What if I’m out of town for the week?
A: You’re welcome to have a friend or family member pick up your bouquet. We’re also happy to deliver it to someone in Zionsville or West Lafayette (see delivery details above). You may also elect to donate your bouquet to a local non-profit organization.
Q: When will I receive my pickup details and schedule?
A: Pickup days, times, and locations will be shared prior to the start of the subscription. We aim to keep timing consistent throughout the season for ease and predictability.
Q: What kinds of flowers are included in the bouquets?
A: Each bouquet is designed using what is freshest and in season. Summer bouquets may include flowers (e.g. zinnias, dahlias, sunflowers), fillers (e.g. bee balm, yarrow), and foliage (e.g. eucalyptus, Feathertop grass). Every arrangement will be slightly different, reflecting what is blooming at that time.
Q: How large are the bouquets?
A: Bouquets are hand-tied and designed to feel full, seasonal, and appropriate for the subscription level. They are ideal for a kitchen table, entryway, or workspace.
Q: Can I switch between pickup and delivery during the season?
A: Yes, you can add delivery for specific weeks as needed. Just reach out in advance so we can coordinate.
Q: What happens if I forget to pick up my bouquet?
A: Bouquets are perishable, so we’re unable to guarantee availability after the pickup window. If you know in advance that you can’t make it, we recommend arranging for someone else to pick up your flowers or opting for delivery that week.
Q: Are subscriptions refundable?
A: Due to the seasonal and small-batch nature of the CSA, subscriptions are non-refundable once the season has started. If you have a concern, please reach out and we will do our best to work with you.
Q: Can I purchase a subscription as a gift?
A: Of course! subscriptions make a thoughtful and unique gift. You can either have the recipient pick up their bouquets or arrange for delivery.
Q: Do I need to bring anything for pickup?
A: No - your bouquet will be wrapped and ready to go. Simply stop by during the designated window and enjoy.
Q: How do I sign up?
A: To reserve your spot, email thefloralpharmacist@gmail.com. Availability is limited due to the small-batch nature of the CSA.
